Vision
Statements
KCF exists to bring people to a Biblical Relationship with God and each
other and to take responsibility for the well-being of our community both
locally and beyond in an environment of love and integrity.
The following vision statements reflects our desire for the various
ministries and programs at KCF.
ACCOUNTING
To keep accurate accounting records according to “Generally Accepted
Accounting Principles” and to do it with the highest level of integrity.
ADVERTISING
To clearly and effectively communicate, via multimedia, our purpose in
leading people into a Biblical relationship with God and each other within
the community of Nelson and beyond.
ARTS
To promote dramatic and visual artistic expression that is both spiritual
and beautiful for the purpose of enhancing the church and creating
fellowship between its members.
BUILDING MAINTENANCE
To repair and maintain the church building and the equipment to the best
of our ability.
CHILDREN
To bring children into a personal relationship with Jesus and develop them
in an environment of love, acceptance, openness, and fun.
COMPUTER NETWORKING
To maintain and update network and systems in the office.
LADIES
To provide a safe environment for the recognition, growth, and development
of the gifts in women of all ages within our church family.
MEN
To provide a mentorship, developmental program for the men who welcome
challenge and seek meaningful purpose in an environment of integrity and
accountability.
NEWSLETTER
To communicate the present goals, projects, and needs of KCF to current
and former members of the congregation.
NURSERY
To provide a safe, loving environment for children to allow parents an
uninterrupted worship time.
OFFICE (RECEPTION)
To provide a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere in an environment that
collects and distributes information in both an interesting and accurate
way.
OUR DAILY BREAD
To provide a nourishing meal to the people of Nelson five days per week as
a visible outpouring of God’s love.
OUTREACH
To reach out into the community in order to train believers in meaningful
service and in order to challenge the community to see God and the church
as relevant and important to its existence.
PASTORAL CARE
To provide a wholesome, confidential and healing ministry through
counseling, encouragement and prayer.
PRAYER
To have continuous prayer over all of KCF and all that KCF is involved in
and to see every decision prayed for before deciding an answer.
S.H.A.R.E. Nelson
To provide a vehicle in which we can actively Support Humanity And
Responsible Ecology.
SINGLE PARENTS
To affirm single parents, recognizing their distinctiveness, providing a
place of growth and wholeness in an atmosphere of love and acceptance.
SOCIAL ACTION
To give a visible demonstration of God’s love by caring for the lost,
speaking for those who can’t, and providing for those that need it without
judgment and within a context of respect for the individual.
GREETING/HOSTING
To welcome people into a warm and friendly environment in such a way that
they feel a part of God’s valued family.
WORSHIP
To worship and praise the Lord with song and outward expression for the
purpose of leading others into His presence and glorifying His name.
