Kootenay Christian Fellowship is partnering
with the church congregation formerly known as Solid Rock Fellowship
in Castlegar to plant a new church called Castlegar Christian
Fellowship.
CCF will be a dynamic and relevant community of
followers dedicated to making a difference. We believe that the
church has a vital role to play in the health of the community, the
preservation of the environment, and the spiritual journey of
individuals.
Jim Reimer, founding pastor of two churches in
the Kootenays, Kootenay Lake Community Church and Kootenay Christian
Fellowship, will be giving oversight to the new church plant. His
energetic and spirited personality will bring fresh and exciting
ministry opportunities to Castlegar. As KCF and CCF work together as
one church with two congregations, the possibility presents itself
for the entire West Kootenays to benefit.
Training sessions for core people are being
held over the summer months with the inaugurating service being
scheduled for September 8, 2007.
